Comet Hale-Bopp
The photos in this collection were taken by me (Steve Luzader of Frostburg State University and the Cumberland Astronomy Club), by Gus Johnson of rural Garrett County (and the Cumberland Astronomy Club), and by Bob Doyle (of FSU and CAC).
There are three sets of images: one for 1996, one for March 1997, and one for April - May 1997.
Clicking on the representative image or the title for each of those
groups will take you to that collection, where you can see small "thumbnail" previews of larger pictures. Hale-Bopp was
undoubtedly the most photographed comet in history, and we feel that some of the pictures in
this display rank with the best we've seen anywhere. Enjoy!

WVU's Jack Littleton has also assembled a nice collection of color photos.
He has also provided links to other Hale-Bopp sites, and he even has pictures of Comet Hyukatake.
Check it out!
CCD mosaic images can be viewed on Greg Latta's home page.
More astrophotography is available on the Cumberland Astronomy Club's home page.
